Director at Intrusted Pensions

Confier Wealth (“Confier”), the holding company for Intrusted Pension Services (Intrusted), a specialist UK wealth and pension business, today announces the completion of two strategic acquisitions as part of its long-term plan to build a leading integrated platform focused on Self-Invested Personal Pensions (SIPP), Small Self-Administered Schemes (SSAS), and financial advice.

The transactions include the acquisition of Robert Graham Trustees Limited and Robert Graham Financial Limited, alongside the acquisition of SSAS portfolios from Channack Ross Limited and Gibbs Denley Trustees Limited, formerly part of The Progeny Group.

These acquisitions represent a significant milestone for Intrusted, enhancing both the scale and breadth of its offering in the UK’s fragmented pension and wealth management market.

Established Foundations Through Intrusted Pension Services

Confier’s growth strategy builds on the established platform of Intrusted Pension Services Limited, which has been actively trading for almost six years.

Intrusted provides specialist SSAS administration services to independent financial advisers (IFAs) and professional intermediaries across the UK, delivering bespoke pension solutions for SME owners, business directors and high-net-worth individuals.

Over this period, the business has developed:

  • A strong reputation in the SSAS market
  • Long-standing relationships with adviser firms and introducers
  • Deep technical expertise in complex pension structures
  • A scalable operational platform supporting continued growth

This established SSAS foundation provides the core infrastructure upon which Confier is expanding its broader wealth and pension offering.

Strengthening a Specialist Platform

The acquisition of the Robert Graham businesses adds a complementary SIPP and financial advice capability to the existing SSAS-focused operations.

In addition, the transaction brings established client relationships and technical expertise that further strengthen the Group’s position within the specialist pension market.

The Progeny Group-related acquisition provides additional SSAS scale, increasing assets under administration and deepening Intrusted’s presence in its core market.

Together, these transactions significantly enhance the Group’s ability to deliver a comprehensive and integrated service to clients.

Delivering an Integrated Client Proposition

Following completion, Confier Wealth now offers:

  • Specialist SSAS administration (core offering) to the IFA and intermediary market
  • Bespoke SIPP solutions to the IFA and intermediary market
  • Regulated financial advice across pensions, investments and retirement planning through a separate wealth management arm

This integrated model enables the Group to support clients across the full lifecycle of wealth accumulation and retirement, while maintaining a highly personalised and relationship-driven approach.

Executing a Clear Growth Strategy

Confier’s strategy is centred on:

  • Consolidating high-quality businesses in the SSAS and SIPP sector to meet the demands of the IFA and wider professional services community
  • Expanding its financial advice capability
  • Leveraging technology to drive operational efficiency and scalability
  • Maintaining strong governance and regulatory standards

The UK pension and financial advice market remains highly fragmented, with increasing regulatory complexity and a continued trend toward consolidation.

Confier believes this environment creates a compelling opportunity for specialist firms with deep expertise and a client-first approach.

Leadership Commentary

Mark Smith, Founding Director of Confier Wealth, commented:

“These acquisitions represent an important step in executing our strategy to build a leading specialist wealth and pension platform in the UK.

Intrusted Pension Services has already established a strong presence in the SSAS market over the past six years, and this provides a robust foundation for our next phase of growth.

The addition of the Robert Graham businesses significantly enhances our SIPP and financial advice capabilities, while also strengthening our SSAS client base.

Alongside The Progeny Group portfolio acquisition, we are increasing scale in our core market and creating a more integrated proposition for clients.

We continue to see strong opportunities to grow both organically and through further targeted acquisitions in what remains a highly fragmented market.”

Looking Ahead

Confier Wealth now administers assets of over £1.2bn for over 2,500 individual clients and expects to continue pursuing targeted acquisitions alongside organic growth, including adviser recruitment and the expansion of introducer relationships.

The Group’s long-term ambition is to build a scalable, technology-enabled platform with a particular focus on pension-led wealth solutions for high-net-worth individuals and business owners.
